When I was 16 I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease. My hormones are all out of whack, and the it affects my weight. My dr said that I am fuel efficient. My body holds on to more calories that it needs because its always in panic mode. They said if the world was ending, I could outlive most people because of my fuel efficiency. -- How lame is that. Silly body. It kills me!
I am a fairly healthy person. I have been working out at least three times a week for a few years now. I have ran 4 half marathons, and many other small races. I ran a ragnar race last October. Long story short.. I feel like I am a healthy person.
Here are my stats from October:
Since I have started watching what I eat. and working with a Dr to control my hormones things have started to slightly change. I take Metformin a few times daily to help control some junk in my body. (not really sure what.. but it seems to make some sort of change)
But there are changes with my body, and I am losing weight. Some times its hard to stay positive when changes are so small. But I gotta keep my chin up.
And coming soon... DIET CHANGES!!! (It seems like eating healthy is my Achilles heal. Which is probably why my weight loss has happened so slow)
I want to post about all of the changes that I make!!
